Train rides are a fun way to travel around no matter what time of year it happens to be. During the holidays, it’s a special treat. However, you don’t have to go all the way to Williams to hop aboard a magical train. We have one right here in town. Take in the holiday lights and displays on a Scottsdale holiday train ride.
Beginning December 14th and continuing through til January 5th, McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale will be holding its annual Holiday Lights extravaganza. The park will be magically transformed into a fantasy winter wonderland, with thousands of twinkling lights on dozens of holiday displays. A special tree lighting ceremony will be held at 6:30pm on opening night (December 14th) which includes live entertainment and a special visit from Santa. For just $2 per person (kids under 3 are free), the train will take you on a fun trip through all the displays of the park. You can even take a carousel ride if you’d like for $2 each.
The Scottsdale holiday train ride will be open every evening from 6:30pm to 9pm, except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Make the holidays even more special. Take a magical trip through McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park aboard the holiday train. This is a ride that kids of all ages can enjoy.
